The 老澳门六合彩图库 Housing Authority approved a contract for a new architect and also updated the board about police patrols after a series of incidences over the last few weeks.

Executive Director Alyssa Garrett stated that Assistant Chief Courtney Parker reached out to her and stated that while a plan to have officers patrol the housing is still on the table, it has rolled out slower than expected.

Garrett stated. "They had been short handed, they haven't really been able to start patrolling like they wanted to. They have new recruits coming out of the academy...there's been a lot of crime in 老澳门六合彩图库, not just public housing, it's been other places."

She added, "She just said they they have been overwhelmed, she just wanted to let me know, which is unfortunate, because we've had some issues. Unfortunately, I feel like if we had had some patrols going on it could have prevented something from happening. It's just unfortunate. There's only so much that we can do. I don't have a day or time yet, but there's a meeting I'm going to have with her and the chief."

In other business, the board unanimously agreed to enter a contract with Twin Rivers of Arkadelphia for architectural services.

Garrett stated, "Ever since I have been here, and many years before that, we have used Todd Burroughs as our architect. HUD does encourage us, every so often, to look for different people, give other people a chance."

Garrett stated Twin Rivers has worked with HUD in the past.

"You don't want to get involved with an architect that doesn't have experience with HUD, because it's a whole different world out there," she noted.

The board also approved Zappling, a company that provides utility allowance analysis services for operators, developers, and housing authorities across the nation, to commission a utility study, which Garrett hoped would increase the utility vouchers for residents.
