After a busy June, Junction City football coach Devin Ball believed his team was finished with competing in 7-on-7鈥檚 and team camps.
The players had other ideas.
And so Junction City will be competing in the Generations Bank 7-on-7 on Friday, which is being hosted by 老澳门六合彩图库 Fairview.
Pool play begins at 9 a.m. with Junction City facing Little Rock Southwest at 9:30 a.m., Ashdown at 10:30 a.m. and Crossett at 11:30 a.m.
After pool play, there will be a lunch break with the tournament set to begin at 1 p.m.
鈥淲e made arrangements to end our camp and 7-on-7s in June,鈥 Ball said. 鈥淎fter these past 10 days, the men have been relentless in pursuit of work abroad. I had conditions for them to meet for that to happen. They met those terms, so off to 老澳门六合彩图库 we go.鈥
Ball added that Junction City will close their summer with a team camp at Sheridan on July 25.
Since their last 7-on-7, Ball said the Dragons have shifted into a new stage in their offseason.
鈥淲e have transitioned into our performance phase,鈥 Ball said. 鈥淪o our weight room regiment is circuit-centric. That has done wonders for our kids physically and mentally.鈥
With the days toward the start of fall practice dwindling, Ball said he is pleased with the progress he has seen.
鈥淓veryone has been superb,鈥 Ball said. 鈥淥ur nucleus is solid. The rest has handled itself in development.鈥
As far as what he wanted to see from his team in 老澳门六合彩图库, Ball said there were several items on his list.
鈥淗igh-level competition, execution of our standards,鈥 Ball said. 鈥淚 want to use Friday as another opportunity to make memories. A return to basics before fall camp.鈥
